Tom Williams is the winner of season one of Alone UK, founder of Desert Island Survival and has walked to the North Pole.

SPEAKING

Tom is a natural orator, speaking with humour and humility about his many adventures, including walking to the North Pole, spending time in a Bolivian prison, and sailing a superyacht 8,000 miles from Canada to Chile. Tom set up his business Desert Island Survival in 2016, and most recently took part in the TV show ‘Alone’.

ALONE

Tom was dropped into the remote Canadian wilderness with only a handful of survival items to compete in season 1 of the Channel 4 series ‘Alone’. Referred to by those in the bushcraft community as the survival Olympics. This is the ultimate test of one’s mental and physical skills, whereby contestants aim to survive as long as possible by finding their own food and water and sheltering themselves from the harsh Canadian elements.

Since 2017 Tom has been curating bushcraft expeditions to remote tropical desert islands. Crafted with love and careful consideration, Tom is proud to deliver some of the coolest bucket list trips imaginable. He has curated two new adventures in the Scandinavian forest and Botswana.

WHO IS TOM?

Tom Williams is the founder of Desert Island Survival an adventure travel company who maroons people on desert island and the winner of the TV survival show Alone UK 2023.


His love for expeditions started in colder climates when in 2010 he won a 367-mile race to the North Pole. He has cycled over the Andes, sailed 8,000 miles however life has not always been plain sailing for Tom, growing in the maritime city of Portsmouth, His upbringing with challenging at time, Tom shares his story here.
