Information We Collect

Contact Form

If you use the contact form, the information you provide (such as your name, email address and message) is checked by a bot-prevention service that does not use tracking cookies, and is then delivered to us by email through a transactional email provider. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry.

If you sign up to our newsletter, your details are submitted directly to the email marketing provider that runs the Desert Island Survival mailing list on our behalf. Your subscription is managed there, including unsubscribing.

Bookings

The “Book Tom” call to action on this site takes you to a third-party scheduling service to arrange a call. Any information you provide there is subject to that provider’s own privacy practices.

Cookies and Analytics

This site does not set any cookies of its own. The only cookies set are by Google Analytics 4, which we use to understand how visitors use the site. You can control or block these cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on.

Embedded Media

Some pages embed video and audio players from third parties:

YouTube videos are embedded in “privacy-enhanced” (youtube-nocookie) mode.
Vimeo videos are embedded with do-not-track (dnt=1) enabled.
Spotify podcast players may also appear on some pages.

Loading any of these players may share your IP address with the relevant provider (YouTube/Google, Vimeo, or Spotify), even with these privacy settings enabled, simply because your browser has to request the player from their servers.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only with the categories of service provider described above, namely our website host, bot-prevention, transactional email, email marketing and scheduling providers, as needed to run the site and respond to you. We can tell you which providers we use on request. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services.
